Lot 372:
Description
Pair of 19th century flow blue transferware serving pieces in the desirable Amoy pattern, including an octagonal platter measuring approximately 12.25 x 9.5 inches and a matching octagonal plate measuring approximately 10.5 inches in diameter. Both feature the classic chinoiserie garden scene with figures beneath a parasol surrounded by floral and ornamental borders typical of the Amoy pattern. Each retains the underglaze AMOY mark on the reverse. The platter shows scattered glaze wear, surface scratching, and a small rim chip while the plate displays multiple rim chips consistent with age and use. A visually attractive pair of Victorian era flow blue serving pieces with strong decorative presence.
