Lot 365:
Description
19th century hand thrown stoneware bowl decorated with cobalt slip floral motifs to the exterior and a feather or fern sponge pattern to the interior surrounding a central medallion. The bowl stands on a short foot with a light blue glaze wash and retains a hand incised “KB” mark to the base, likely denoting the potter or workshop. Measuring approximately 6 inches in diameter and 3.25 inches tall, the piece displays attractive age with glaze variation, kiln marks, and minor wear consistent with early utilitarian pottery.
