Lot 292:
Description
Hand woven Persian Bakhtiari style wool rug featuring a traditional garden panel design composed of repeating vase and floral motifs arranged in a geometric grid across an ivory field. Each panel contains stylized flowers, birds, and foliage rendered in deep navy, red, rust, and muted earth tones typical of Persian village weaving. The design is framed by multiple guard borders and a main geometric border with diamond medallions. Constructed with hand knotted wool pile and finished with fringe ends, the rug measures approximately 5 feet by 4 feet including fringe. Estate condition showing age appropriate wear and some irregularity to the edges consistent with use and traditional hand weaving.
