Description
Large mixed lot of thirty-three vintage writing instruments including fountain pens, mechanical pencils, and advertising ballpoint pens dating primarily to the mid 20th century. The group includes various plastic, celluloid, and metal examples with several marbled and striped barrel patterns along with promotional pieces including examples marked Guenther Brothers Freesoil Michigan, Western Auto Parts Co., and Detroit advertising pencils. Several pens retain original nibs and internal mechanisms and include a variety of cap and lever fill styles typical of early to mid century fountain pen manufacture. Estate condition with visible wear from use including scratches, finish loss, and possible missing or non-functioning components. Pens measure approximately 4 inches to approximately 6 inches in length.
