Group of three 19th century agricultural and rural science books including The Farmer’s Encyclopedia and Dictionary of Rural Affairs by Cuthbert W. Johnson published in London by Henry G. Bohn, illustrated with engravings of agricultural implements; A Treatise on the Nature, Economy, and Practical Management of Bees by Robert Huish, second edition with additions, London, Baldwin Cradock and Joy, dated 1817; and Sheep: Their Breeds, Management, and Diseases by William Youatt published by A. O. Moore Agricultural Book Publisher, New York, 1857. The volumes contain numerous engraved illustrations and technical plates relating to farming practices, livestock management, and apiculture. One volume bears an early handwritten ownership inscription reading Frederick Farrand. Estate condition with expected age toning, foxing, edge wear, and some page loss to the Huish volume. Books measure approximately 8.25 x 6 inches up to approximately 9.75 x 6.75 inches.
