Group of three antique religious volumes including Hitchcock’s New and Complete Analysis of the Holy Bible published by A. J. Johnson, New York (1875), an illustrated New Testament with critical and explanatory notes published by O. A. Browning & Co., Toledo, Ohio, and a Comprehensive Teachers’ Bible published by S. Bagster & Sons, London and James Pott & Co., New York. The Hitchcock volume contains steel plate engravings, maps, and concordance material, while the other volumes provide study notes, biblical commentary, and reference tools for scripture study. The books range approximately from 7.5 x 5 inches to about 11 x 7 x 3.5 inches. Condition varies with visible wear including detached or fragile bindings, edge wear, and age toning, though many interior pages, engravings, and maps remain present and readable. An interesting lot of 19th century Christian study and reference books suitable for collectors of antique religious literature.
