Group of six early 19th century botanical and natural science related volumes including The Botanic Garden: A Poem (New York, 1807) with engraved plates, An Introduction to Botany in a Series of Familiar Letters by Priscilla Wakefield (London, 1812), Life of Linnaeus, or The Young Botanist (Boston, 1829), The Painter’s and Colourman’s Complete Guide by P. F. Tingry (Philadelphia, 1831), The Canary Bird Fancier (New York, 1842), and Some Remarkable Passages in the Life of Hon. Col. James Gardiner by P. Doddridge (London). Volumes feature period leather and cloth bindings and include engraved botanical illustrations, scientific diagrams, and foldout tables. Condition varies with typical age-related wear including foxing, staining, edge wear, and occasional loose bindings. Several books contain early ownership inscriptions including George Robinson and Fred Farrand.
