Lot 213:
Description
Chinese porcelain vase decorated in famille rose style enamels depicting a pair of cranes standing beneath pine branches within a landscaped setting, a traditional Chinese motif symbolizing longevity and harmony. The cylindrical form rises to a flared neck decorated with scrolling floral designs and colorful blossoms, while the shoulder and base display geometric and stylized floral border bands. Two iron red seal marks appear within the decoration and the body bears an iron red four character Qianlong reign mark in seal script, a common decorative homage mark used on later wares. Likely produced during the early 20th century Republic period for the export market. Measures approximately 18.75 inches tall and about 6.75 inches across the body with a 4.75 inch opening. Displays well with typical light surface wear consistent with age.
