Lot 202:
Description
Antique Chinese export miniature porcelain teapot featuring a rounded form with short spout, loop handle, and fitted lid with knob finial, decorated with hand-painted cobalt blue landscape motifs along the shoulder and lid and finished with a mottled green ground glaze around the body. The piece reflects the late Qing Dynasty export aesthetic produced for Western markets during the late 19th to early 20th century when small decorative teapots and novelty tea wares were popular trade items. Visible hand-painted brushwork, kiln wear, glaze irregularities, and base turning marks consistent with period production are present, along with scattered surface wear and minor glaze imperfections from age and use. Measures approximately 6 inches from spout to handle, about 3.75 inches wide, and roughly 3.5 inches in height.
