Description
Chinese blue and white porcelain bowl decorated with boys at play beneath a flowering prunus border and centered with a phoenix medallion. Hand painted underglaze cobalt decoration typical of late Qing dynasty production. Scalloped rim form with garden scene of children playing among foliage symbolizing prosperity and many sons. Likely Jingdezhen kiln work dating to the Guangxu period, circa 1875–1908. Measures approximately 7 inches diameter. One small rim chip noted.
