Description
Japanese export blue and white porcelain tea service decorated in the Chinese taste with pagoda landscape scenes including bridges, trees, and architectural motifs within patterned borders. The set includes five handled teacups and seven matching saucers. Each piece bears a blue underglaze square seal mark to the underside, typical of late 19th to early 20th century Japanese porcelain produced for export markets. The cups also feature small interior decorative motifs. Condition shows age and use including interior staining and a hairline crack to one saucer as shown. A charming and decorative antique tea service displaying classic East Asian scenic imagery.
