Description
Offered here is a handsome vintage lidded silver box of scalloped form, richly decorated with repoussé-style ornament and retaining its original red velvet interior. The exterior features alternating vertical panels with stylized floral and foliate motifs, bordered by repeating geometric bands. The lid is topped with a sculptural finial in a bud or artichoke form, adding height and elegance. The interior is lined in deep red velvet with fitted, gathered compartments—ideal for jewelry, rings, or small valuables. The underside of the lid is decorated with an all-over floral pattern, showing fine detail and craftsmanship. Measurements: Approximately 4.5” x 3.75” x 4.5” Condition: Shows age-appropriate surface wear and patina consistent with vintage silverplate. Interior velvet remains vibrant with light expected wear. No major dents or structural damage observed.
