Description
Lot features 3 original type 1 photographs from the Finneran Scrapbook Collection. These amazing images are mounted as shown. Bottom photograph is marked "Rotary-Tigers" "CUE" 3/14/22 Tommins Photo. Notice eighth player from the right Ty Cobb looking off in the distance. The top photograph boasts a few young boyscouts standing amongst many rotary members including Kenesaw Mountain Landis, standing 8th from the right in the front row holding his hat. Photo measures 9.5" x 7.5" – top photo 8"x10" – reverse side is a panoramic style photo of The Kiwanis Club Welcoming the Tigers. Measures 14" x 5.5" – Ty Cobb is sitting indian style on the ground directly below "Welcomes " in the banner. All lots from 379-404 came from the Ralph "Happy" Finneran personal collection. Happy as he was known has a prominent local Ford salesmen who was invited personally by Frank Navin to train with the Tigers in the 20s.
