This is a remarkable 1951 solid sterling silver trophy presnted to George Birdie Tebbetts for Top Catching Performance in 1951, presnted by Boston Chapter BBWA. Measures 11.5" wide x 6" tall . Weighs 956 grams of solid sterling silver. This was given to Tebbetts for his wonderful performance in 1950. In 1950, the 37 year old shared catching duties with Matt Batts as he posted a career high .310 batting average in 84 games.
