Description
Flow blue semi-porcelain plate produced by Lonsdale, England, featuring a grape vine motif with flowing foliage and fruit encircling the rim. The plate displays a molded decorative border with repeating scroll and leaf elements framing the central design. The cobalt decoration exhibits the classic blurred “flow blue” effect typical of late Victorian English transferware. The underside bears the Lonsdale England mark with a shovel device and reads “Royal Semi Porcelain.” Measures approximately 10 inches in diameter. Light surface wear and minor age toning present consistent with age and use. A handsome example of English flow blue tableware suitable for display or collection.
