Description
Two-tone American stoneware whiskey jug produced by UHL Pottery Company of Huntingburg, Indiana, featuring a classic cream glazed body with dark brown Albany slip glazed shoulder and spout. The jug retains its original wire bail handle with turned wooden grip and displays the maker’s blue underglaze mark reading “Huntingburg Indiana Acorn Wares UHL Pottery Co.” The form includes a central pouring spout and two smaller opposing vent spouts typical of UHL handled jugs of the early 20th century. Measures approximately 7 inches tall excluding the handle. Condition shows typical light wear from age and use including minor glaze imperfections and surface marks, while the handle assembly remains intact. A desirable and recognizable example of UHL Pottery Indiana stoneware suitable for display or collection.
