Lot 296B:
Description
Antique copper tea kettle featuring a rounded form with applied spout, hinged bail handle, and removable lid, accented by a turned wood grip and brass ferrules. The kettle displays a warm aged copper surface with natural patina, spotting, and oxidation consistent with age and long use. The handle mounts are stamped “HOME, ” suggesting an early 20th century American household kitchen implement. The piece measures approximately 13 inches wide including the spout, about 11 inches across the body, and roughly 8.5 inches high to the rim with additional height to the handle. Interior shows expected darkening from use. A classic utilitarian kitchen form that presents well as primitive cookware, farmhouse décor, or early kitchen collectible.
