Description
Antique Dutch transferware porcelain bowl produced by Petrus Regout & Co. of Maastricht, Holland, decorated in the “Pajong” pattern depicting an Orientalist garden scene with figures beneath a parasol along a waterfront landscape with boat and pavilion, surrounded by alternating scenic and floral panels around the interior rim. The base bears the printed sphinx mark reading “Petrus Regout & Co Maastricht Pajong Made in Holland, ” dating the piece to the late 19th to early 20th century when Regout produced large quantities of decorative transferware for export markets.
