Description
German-made folding lorgnette spectacles marked “Made in Germany 835”, crafted in 83.5% silver and accompanied by their original silver chain and a small gilt eyeglass case. The lorgnette features decorative Art Nouveau style engraving on the handle and bridge with rectangular lenses that fold neatly for pocket carry. The chain is a curb link style with spring ring clasp and attaches to the handle loop for convenient wear. The small eyeglass case retains its textured gilt exterior and stitched edging. Combined total weight 38.1 grams (24.5 dwt) including the silver lorgnette and chain. A classic late 19th to early 20th century personal accessory combining function and elegance.
