Art Deco style sterling silver brooch featuring ornate marcasite set floral terminals each centered with round faceted purple stones consistent with amethyst. The decorative ends are joined by a polished black glass circular ring creating a distinctive geometric design typical of late Art Nouveau transitioning into Art Deco styling. The brooch is constructed in sterling silver with numerous marcasite stones throughout the openwork elements and retains its original pin back. Measures approximately 3 inches across with a total weight of approximately 14.97 grams. An attractive vintage sterling marcasite brooch with striking contrast between the black glass ring and purple gemstone centers.
