Lot 9B:
Description
Late 19th to early 20th century kerosene oil lamp featuring a ribbed uranium (vaseline) glass font with matching yellow-green glass chimney mounted on an ornate cast iron base with pierced decorative panels. The lamp retains its original burner assembly with wick mechanism and displays a classic Victorian form with bulbous chimney and flared top. Uranium glass components exhibit the distinctive yellow tone typical of vaseline glass and would fluoresce bright green under UV light. Measures approximately 19.5 inches in height with a 5 inch base. Condition shows expected age including surface oxidation and rust to the underside of the iron base, light wear to metal components, and normal handling wear to the glass with no obvious major cracks observed. A striking decorative antique lighting piece combining Victorian cast iron craftsmanship with collectible uranium glass.
