Description

Offered here is a charming lot of five original 1912 advertising calendar pages issued for the Beery School in Horsemanship of Pleasant Hill, Ohio. Each piece features a beautifully printed Victorian-style portrait of a young woman in period dress, paired with the original 1912 monthly calendar below. Months represented include January, February, March, May, and June. The Beery School in Horsemanship was a well-known early 20th century correspondence school focused on horse training and riding instruction, making these calendars an interesting crossover between equestrian history and early advertising ephemera. The artwork retains attractive color and detail, with soft romantic imagery typical of the era. Each measures approximately 6” x 10” as noted. Condition shows honest age and display wear, including toning, edge wear, corner rounding, minor creasing, and scattered stains consistent with 110+ years of age. One example exhibits a more pronounced lower corner crease. All remain very displayable.
